Look for something new and different at FENCETECH/DECKTECH’11 in Las Vegas. It’s the Access Control Demo area, a new demonstration exhibit that will premiere alongside the popular Deck and Outdoor demos.

Access Control Demo Added to Line-up.

Access control is becoming more of an important aspect of our business, driven in large part by Homeland Security issues. Fence contractors are fielding more inquiries and requests for greater security, and the Access Control Demo is a great way for AFA members to get the latest information.

Live demonstrations and floor lectures on best practices will take place all three days of FENCETECH, and will cover these topics:

• Slide versus Swing gates
• Bollards and security applications
• Sensor technology
• Loop detectors
• Transmitters & receivers
• Surveillance & security systems

On Deck

Deck and Railing University, sponsored by the Vinyl Fence, Deck and Railing Manufacturers Association (VFDRMA), returns with its intensive one-day school on Monday, February 7, covering a broad range of valuable topics including installation, materials, code updates, and more. There’s plenty of hands-on learning as well as classroom instruction.

Deck Demos will take place on the show floor all three days and will feature railing collapse aspects and best practices for ensuring safe and proper installation of railing fixtures.
